
What to WearYou will feel comfortable dancing in leotard and tights. Please also bring socks or dance slippers as street shoes are not allowed on the dance floor. You want to be comfortable and have freedom of movement. The Beginning Belly Dance class is for women who have never taken the dance before. This class will focus on how to perform the basic movements to Middle Eastern music. With weekly practice, the student will be able to perform a basic routine at the end of (4) one and a half hour sessions.
The Advanced Beginning student will continue with basic movements and start to learn how to play the very basic rhythm on the finger cymbals (zills). This class is for those who have had, at least, three to six months of beginning belly dance and are showing improvements. |
